I’ve had the honour of working with private clients for just shy of 30 years, including a number of years at the Big 4 and Top 10 accountancy firms. My work involves elevating tax advice by driving deeper into the heart of what really matters to the clients, and then optimising this through tax planning and pragmatic structuring.
I find it particularly enjoyable and rewarding to find solutions to clients’ individual needs, despite (or perhaps because of!) the complex tax and non-tax requirements this usually entails. No two clients are the same, and neither are their solutions. My goal is to find and recommend solutions which are bespoke, pragmatic, and not purely tax driven, enabling my clients to sleep soundly knowing their best interests have been kept in mind.
Having previously worked at Hazlewoods, the opportunity arose for me to re-join the firm as their demand grew for someone with my skills and experience. This presented the perfect symbiotic opportunity, with me facilitating Hazlewoods’ growing demand for a Private Client service, and Hazlewoods facilitating the breadth of diverse skills and resource required to help me give my clients the optimum support. A winning combination for all.
Hobbies & Interests
Outside of work, I love rock music, enjoy yoga and Zumba, love to read, love to get outdoors, enjoy getting creative with painting, exploring new places, trying, and learning new things and just generally living life to the full! If I wasn’t in my current role, I’d either be a midwife/teacher, interior designer, or a software engineer.
