Weekly Updates

Hi all

I spent Tuesday afternoon and evening in the company of a group of people who have been involved in our Inspire program over the last few months. This was our fourth cohort attending the program, which we originally launched in 2021 for Directors and Associate Directors to focus on leadership development – such an important element of our overall plans to provide people with the opportunity to develop rewarding and successful careers here at Hazlewoods, whilst also ensuring we have the best leaders for the business.

So a big shout out to Caroline Hawkins, Adam Shearing, Elsie Vavouli, Hannah Reason, Jack Hayman, Kara-Marie Jones, Mike Ingmire, Natalie Adams, Claire Law and Gemma Bolton-Morris. You all did an amazing job sharing your experiences of the program and showed fantastic clarity and belief around your plans to carry on leading your teams in the future. I was inspired!  Congratulations to you all and thank you!

Cardiff office

I have some exciting news to share with you this week, with a new office to be opened in Cardiff on 1 September 2024. Principally, this has been driven by an opportunity to recruit experienced tax people from a large pool based in South Wales, with a wider aim to use the location for other service lines too. Even before we have officially opened, we have recruited a corporate tax Associate Manager and Associate Director, both of whom will be joining us in September; I hope this is a positive sign of things to come.

The office is based in Capital Tower, near to Cardiff Castle, and will initially accommodate up to 13 people, with a breakout space of four further workstations.
